I've worked in social services and I've also made a somewhat consistent observation in terms of race and gender. When a father of any race abuses a daughter (non-sexually) they are much more likely to give a solid apology (and will even grovel) to the adult daughter and try to give the daughter space to decide if the father/daughter relationship can be repaired.

With women who abuse their sons as children it's MUCH different during what we call family mediation sessions (family members who don't speak trying to meet in a social service center and talk again). Black and Latina mothers especially WILL NOT apologize to their adult son. EVER. I've seen it happen ZERO TIMES in 5 years. They're hands down the most common to play the "oh god you just need to grow up... you're a man now and it's over", "ok but I always fed and clothes you and your brothers, I was stressed. have nothing to apologize for you. You need to let go of that hate:"., or one I've seen a few times that even made me want to leave the room "yeah I was tough but you turned out ok. So i did good".

Like I know it's a stereotypical female trait to have a hard time admitting you're wrong and I"m NOT a parent so jesus... is it even hard to apologize to a CHILD?

is a nice guy that likes to reciprocate by making her food every now, surprise her with a few simple gifts and then cuddle with her very often and not be the stereotypical macho Latino guy?

Just curious, I'm a Latino guy who is a "nice guy" but at the same time, am not a push over (I still won't take abuse or any crap from ungrateful women or people in general). I believe I can be a nice guy and still be masculine. I'd just love to be with a fellow Latina who can nurture me, look after me whenever I'm seriously hurt, show me a lot of intimacy, basically show me how much she really loves me while I do the all same in return for her. I don't expect her to be the stereotypically great Latina housewife but at least see her putting in great amount of effort in the relationship and make it mutually about both of us and not make it only about one of us.

In short words, I want my equal partner.

My Latino friends, as well as my non Latino friends told me this this based on their experience. They told me despite how sweet they appear, behind that sweet personality is an ugly, melodramatic temper. If that's the case, then I think I should just avoid Latina girls since I too have a very bad temper (not just an ordinary temper but a violent tendency since I am diagnosed with PTSD with my child physical and sexual abuse). A Latina randomly getting triggered and throwing temper tantrums at me will only just give me more headaches than I already have and end up being ugly between the both of us.
