When it comes to drizzling food oils over your salads in order to make eating healthy feel a little more dirty, oils such as extra virgin olive oil, avocado oil or flaxseed oil come out as the clear contenders, with superior taste profile and a lengthy resume of internet articles promoting many of their alleged health benefits.

But when it comes to frying, things get a little more murky.
Nobody is going to try and claim their appreciation of fried foods to be a healthy lifestyle choice, but when you must, you must.

So, which cooking oil do you use in your own kitchen?
Do you try to look at the rations of fatty acids, MUFAs and PUFAs, smoke points, avoid highly refined oils or do you simply just buy the most economic option?
