A girl popular in our school has invited me to her 18th birthday party this October. I'm somewhat close to her and the only reason why we met is because last year, one guy liked both of us at the same time (she approached me, talked to me, and considered me a friend because we both found the guy weird). We didn't talk for nearly a year and we only have talked today when she invited me.

I appreciate her invitation. However, I'm quite undecided whether I'd go or not because the thing that's holding me back is the people attending the same party as well. I know her friends in a surface level (being popular like her) and while I find them friendly, I'm very certain that I wouldn't get along with them because we don't share the same interests.

It's going to be a party and the aim is to have fun... which I think I couldn't manage because the people that'll go don't know me and don't have an idea about who I am. However, I don't want to disappoint my friend with that reason.

Do you think I should go and mingle with her friends there?
Would it make sense if I decline the invitation because of all these thoughts?

Should I go to her birthday party? I'd appreciate opinions.

Me and my cousin don't get along , last party we both assisted was her sisters birthday party. Things ended up badly into an argument & almost to the point of a fight. We both talked after the fight and made peace because of our parents intervention, but still we don't talk , when we see each other in family reunions it's just a hi & bye thing. My birthday is coming up and I don't know if I should invite her , because I don't want to stir up drama again by not inviting her? But then again what if she try's to make my special day into a horrible day? I invited her sister since she and me are really close and all my other cousins as well. Im sure she probably knows that I invited everyone except her because we share the same circle. I still have time to invite her but I don't know if its a good idea. Any advice?
