I was thinking about this today. For most of my life I've never really cared about race when it comes to attraction. When talking to others I've noticed that some people are only attracted to certain ones and not others. People always say it just comes down to preference but if you aren't attracted to someone of a different race doesn't that in a sense mean you think they're aesthetically inferior to your own? How can you think of human beings as being equal while thinking someone of another race isn't as attractive as your own?

Someone I talked to about this claimed that it's just preference since we all had different perspectives of beauty in isolated societies at one point. This is why beauty perspectives can be so different across cultural lines. He argued that not being attracted to someone of a different region is simply due to not being raised with that perspective of beauty and not because they are inherently less attractive. The same way someone can love rock music and not country.
