Does it mean that you want to get to know her better?
Or are you just physically attracted and don't want to take it any further?

For example:
a guy never used to take much notice of the girl at work (when they never spoke before & were complete strangers).
But, now they've both spoken to eachother a few times and became 'friends' on facebook, this guy now constantly checks her out and stares at her, but instantly looks away when she catches him staring. This guy stares constantly at her face, when having group conversations at work (when he could have easily stared at other people instead, but he chooses to just stare at her). He also sometimes smiles and laughs at her jokes.

~ Is it just physical attraction?
~ Or does he like her, but is too shy to talk to her directly?
~ or has he just started developing feelings?

I have a crush on this guy in my biology class and I’ve caught him staring at me before in my lab class but in our lecture it’s about 200 people so we never see eachother. Guys never seem to approach me maybe because I have a resting mean face I honestly don’t know so I wanted to know if it would be ok if I talked to him first. And how would I even talk to him. We’re in different groups in our lab class so I can’t really talk to him there and in lecture there's just so many people. I thought maybe sitting in the seat next to his but I thought maybe that would be weird if he knew since maybe he knows that I always sit at the top of the class and he sits at the bottom.
