I’ve been friends with this girl on and off for 9 years. Last week we made plans to go clubbing for her 21st birthday on Friday but my boyfriend wanted to hang out instead and I wasn’t responding to my friends texts but answered a call and she was pissed and said nasty shit about my boyfriend. She thinks he’s manipulative etc and she thinks I put him before her. (I’ve been with him for 3 months). I bought her stuff and tried to apologize earlier this week but she still seemed pissed. We were supposed to go to the same club this Saturday and she took off of work. However, everyone who’s going is going with their SO, she doesn’t have one and is too scared to meet up with a guy from a dating app and doesn’t want me to invite mine because she doesn’t wanna be left out etc and it’s too much drama. I lied and just messaged her that I’m supposed to watch my aunts kids this weekend so I won’t be able to go. She hasn’t responded but I don’t feel like putting up with all the drama and feeling like I have to babysit her and entertain her. she's never met my boyfriend but already hates him. She will become jealous and bitchy and yadda yadda and be up our asses. She said I take years to respond to her but text my boyfriend back in 2 seconds and I always show up late etc. My parents are super strict about what I do and she knows this. She always asks me every week about meeting up but now I don't know. She becomes really mean and bitchy and controlling. She lives 5 minutes away and we get together at least once or twice a week to talk or go for a walk and I like hanging out with her but not for extended amounts of time. Do you think I’m a bad friend? Do you think she will talk to me after this?

So my friend and I were planning all week to go clubbing today. She turned 21 two weeks ago. I invited my aunt along and my cousin. There’s a pre season football game so I told my friend it was a bad idea. My aunt suggested going to this farm show today but my friend isn’t into that kind of stuff. I told her maybe. I also have a boyfriend of two months that I see about once a week and I text and call him everyday, we get along really well. My friend kept spamming me with messages asking what are we doing today (for the past two days) and I didn’t know what to tell her because I didn’t know. My friend suggested going to this bar tonight and I said I would like to go but didn’t know for sure. She called me last night and gave me an attitude and my boyfriend called in about 30 seconds into the phone call so I told her I had to go. She texted me 4 times today asking what are we doing today. I was at work until 3 so I wasn’t able to respond and now I am at my moms house and I don’t know what I plan on doing later. Still no response from my aunt about the bar. I log into Instagram and she wrote this indirect nasty long paragraph towards me. My parents are super strict about what I do plus I have two younger siblings I might have to watch and she knows this. I haven’t even asked them yet. Her parents don’t care what she does but mine do. I hang out with this girl like 2-3 times a week. If I’m allowed to go, should I? Knowing her she’s gonna yell at me and be all bitchy and she’s also mad that I show up late all the time (as well as everybody else). Am I in the wrong? Or is she? I don’t know what to do? She doesn’t really have other friends either...

This girl and I have been friends for 9 years. We area both 21 and live at home. She knows my entire family. They have mixed opinions on her especially my parents. My parents are never mean to her though, and try to help her if she needs it. We have got in 3 major blowouts in the past, which resulted in us not talking to each other for several months at a time and blocking/changing numbers. Anyways, I try to hang out with my friend at least once a week but she currently does not have a job and her parents stopped giving her money so I’m having to pay for whatever we do that’s why I limit it to once a week unless she wants to take walks which are free. Recently, I started talking to a guy on a dating app and we hung out a bunch and I’m talking to him everyday and call him my boyfriend, I’ve known him for a month. I think my friend is jealous. She’s a pretty blonde girl and guys stare at her in public but she gives them Death looks and then they approach me. I decline. My friend wanted to go to a club tomorrow night but it’s in a bad part of town so I said no. I suggested going to the derby with my aunt and boyfriend and she yelled at me because she knows I have a family reunion on Saturday so I’ll see my aunt then and I care about my boyfriend more than her and she tried to call me but I had to end the call to talk to my boyfriend and she’s like I’m glad our 9 year friendship means nothing to you and I need to get my priorities right and I’m rude af. She’s also been persistent texting me but I was on a date earlier and she went off on me. I told her to try the dating apps and she doesn’t have any luck because she says all guys want is a quick lay or they stop talking to her and yadda yadda. She wants to go to this bar tomorrow night (we were supposed to go to the club) and I said I will see because I plan on going to the derby and she flipped out. And anytime I text or call my boyfriend when she’s around she gets all bitchy towards me and I have to walk away.
