I have been so into this girl I went to high school with for a while. We haven't met up for like a year but have talked off and on. She is busy with work, we are 24, and live in New York City. She had a serious boyfriend and I think still does. Last time we met up, here boyfriend was in her apartment and was gonna sleep over; but she went to a cocktail party with me at an art gallery. We got really drunk, I started feeling her legs and getting close in the cab, etc. I blurted out drunk; do you want to kiss me? She said "oh my god, I have a boyfriend, and we are friends right, I have a boyfriend I can't... it was a bad move by me because her boyfriend was there that night and if I had played it cool I could have maybe hooked up with her another night. I think that created a degree of awkwardness.

Anyway on night a few months after I texted her while at a party with my friends. She started sending sexually explicit messages but it was not actually her and her friends. Like a silly joke. We talked the next day; the messages were very dirty; she apologized a lot, I said I didn't expect it from her; she then replied that she had nothing to do with it and she also expected more out of me to not think it was her. She said she is conservative sexually and is not into kinky stuff, etc. I think she was just saying that because girls always like to have a clean reputation. I then said "but is it so surprising that I would be attracted to you and think you would be attracted to me? The one f***ed up thing about the message was that her friends said "if we hooked up would you tell anyone"? that's what was weird, because that seemed so genuine; I'll never know if she was in on the messages passively or otherwise.

I have hooked up with a few girls, or had the chance to since then; but I am so attracted to her. She is hot and flirtatious. I, every so often think about her and want to have sex with her so badly. We have known each other since childhood but I only developed this attraction recently. How do I subtly figure out her deal? don't tell me "tell her how you fee" that will bring back awkwardness.
