Personally, I think women are. They are more likely to be passive agressive for some reason! They like to compete with EVERYTHING! Who gets the best looking man, who gets the prettiest baby, clothes, who gets to be the PRETTIEST!

They also compete to see who has the most friends or better car, etc! Women's competitions are more "action-oriented" and emotional and covert, vs. guys who are usually more extroverted and for some reason, it's a more matured competition I feel! And there's no illl will or animositiy usually after that!

I know its important for a woman to be strong and not dependent on a man for anything but I keep thinking about what it would be like to be a traditional women... I really want to get back into dating but at the same time I normally go for older men which I've been told is wrong. I've been told to either date down or date someone like myself... I knew that I'd be judged harshly for my choice of men but it made me happy. Should I do what makes me happy and take what I want or try to follow current society rules?

I've met a hand full of men who were wiling to treat me like a traditional women and I've been thinking of a traditionalism for a long time. I'd love to serve and clean for my man... But since most women don't think like this I feel really weird about it... I almost dated a guy who basically gave me 30 dollars so I could get a ride home and most women told me how wrong I was for accepting small things from a man...

Hell, people told me I shouldn't even accept free shit from men because it makes me a slut or a gold digger. Women are insanely judgmental to women who get anything free from a man... Or how selfish I am for holding on to my virginity.

So I have been single for my entire life. Since I have been in my late teens, I have been concerned about my single status. Maybe I have a reason to be or maybe I have too high of an opinion of myself. But I don’t get how a relationship has not presented itself for 25 years. And the few times guys have shown “interest” (can’t tell if it’s platonic or romantic), it isn’t by a guy I’d usually pursue. And I know women get approached by guys they actually fancy.

I was bitching with my mother the other day at breakfast. And I feel she may have said this out of being annoyed. But she said that “you are alone because you choose to be”. And that kind of hit me hard. I don’t think it’s true. And one day I was saying that when my brothers (now teen boys) get a girlfriend, they will be on their own and I will still be hanging out with my remaining family. She said “if you stay single for that long, that’s your choice”.

I think she lacks empathy and doesn’t understand because she met my dad at 18 and they were married for 10 years. I feel like I am one of those women that don’t get noticed by the opposite sex regardless of the effort I put into my appearance.

Does anyone see where I’m coming from?
