Quick background, I have been in an on again off again hook up with a guy for 5 years. We first started hooking up while he was on a break with a girlfriend. When they got back together he would still come over for hours, but wouldn't sleep with me. At one point she got pregnant and he invited me over to vent about how she was behaving. Still no sex. The baby was born premature. He came around and I really got to see his emotional side. I left him alone at this point cause it was just too much. Later he finds out the kid isn't his. He comes around again. And our hook ups continue. I told him my feelings I had for him. ( I am good about separating feelings from sex, but the fact that he came to me when he was down and all the conversations we had I can't help it!) He is now going back to school and taking care of himself. I asked him one day what he wanted in a woman and everything he said described me! I told him this and he told me " don't mess up what we have". What does this mean? I have been trying to cool it with him and let him build himself up. I have a lot going for myself so I figured maybe he wanted to be on the same level. Recently I made him realize how long we have been seeing each other. He invited me to his new place. He tells me he is on his "grown man shit" and shows me around. Then we had some crazy next level rough sex. Something we have never done before. Then he goes cold. I haven't lived in the same city in 2 years yet we still connect. I can't tell if I'm just a safety net, or if he has feelings and just needs time to get himself straight or what. I'm trying to play it cool but I definitely don't wanna end up looking like boo boo the fool pining over him! I'd love your honest thoughts and opinions.

Hi there. This is the longish backstory (I'll try to keep it brief), scroll down for simple question.

So I met this man a couple weeks ago and fell for him instantly. I've never had this happen to me before and I was not planning to develop feeligs for him like this. The problem is that he was here on vacation and left after about a week and a half of us hanging out consistently. He left the country to go home and doesn't have any plans to come back definitively.

During the course of our week together, we hung out and were pretty flirty. He revealed that he has a girlfriend but they're on a break and isn't sure if they'll get back together or not. We got physically close, but never kissed, held hands, etc. Our time together was spent talking and doing fun activities.

The last night he told me that he's planning on coming back in three months and wants to see me again. We've made plans to keep in touch and see each other if/when he returns. We also discussed me flying over there to go see him.

THE SHORT: What is this guy's end game? If he didn't make plans with me in the future to try to get in my pants in the present, do you think he's really wanting to keep in touch? I just don't understand why someone would say this without the intent of trying to sleep with someone unless they really meant it.

I put myself on online dating. I'm 26, brunette, 5'9 hourglass figure.

So far I have gone on two dates. One with a man I spoke to for a month, the other with a man I spoke to for only 4 days.

With the first man (one month) - he was tipsy by the time I got to the bar. But he was enigmatic and excitable and happy. I went along with it and it was very 'fun'. We ended up kissing, quite a lot actually. This was in between talking and laughing and being 'cute'. He joked about wanting to introduce me as his girlfriend to his friends ~ and what would I say ~ I was looking at him shocked (too soon) but it was sweet. I excused myself at 10:30pm, as I felt it was going fast - then he called when I got home.. He wanted to keep talking - he came to my place (I know - save your judgement - BIG mistake). We inevitably and regrettably slept together. It was very strange after - I expected to not hear from him. But I did. Texts and calls - just not as many. And no subsequent date. So I called his bluff and he came back angry at me becuase he had serious work dramas. Anyway, he wasn't as sweet and nice - and I don't make contact anymore. He hasn't made contact in two days since we had a little text war.



Date number two - was not anything like the first. Coffee and cake. It went for 3 hours. We ended up kissing at the end - but nothing else. He asked to see me again and it's been 4 days with no text.



Clearly - in the first date I gave away WAYYYYY too much too soon and he lost interest. In the second date though, is kissing so bad?

Is it true that in order for a date to 'work' you have to play a game and play hard to get? Even if you want to go with the moment?
