Im sure most of you will say #ItsJustAPreference but real talk i wanna know the truth. I've met plenty of people who say they’d date a tan white guy but not a pale white guy OR date a lightskinned black girl but not a darkskinned black girl OR date a whiter latina but not a darker latina and so on... it may be a preference, but what is your judgment based on? Whats so good about one skintone thats not so good about the other, especially when those different skintones are still categorized as white, black, etc? Is it because you want your baby coming out a certain shade or something? Is it because you think you’ll be looked down on? What is it? #Colorism

My best friend tend to say that men prefer brunette with tanned skin, I think it’s attractive with colored eye. But for me a brunette with brown hair, is nothing compared to a blonde haired girl with blue or green eyes! For me a blonde girl with colored eyes can beat a brunette with blue eyes! Am I right? I know that the face is important, but what if they are both prettier? I’m not a nazi since I have reddish brown hair with hazel eyes, I know they are girls that are prettier, but a blonde girl with colored eyes is the best! Anyone with me? I’m not a troll I really think that! For example The cartoons always show true beauties in aurora and cindrella! Why? Well because of theirs eye and hair color! I think that media tend to show brunette and Latina beauties just to help every women to be okay with their physical features. For example vampire diaries, and twilight, and a lot of movies since 2000 show us the main character with a brown hair and brown eyes, which is chosen by the gorgeous man over the pretty mean blonde. I think some men are really hypocrites to claim that they love brunette and then fap on Scarlette Johansson and other blonde beauties, (maybe Megan Fox because despite her black hair she’s really gorgeous) but for me a Latina type like jennyfer Lopez or Beyoncé and Rihana are nothing compared to blondes Caucasian beauties. I think it’s boring to show us on every books this time a little brunette girl that don’t have any self estime but which is truly pretty! Men were more honest on the past, like they’re adoration for beauties like Maryline Monroe. I think some actresse that are really pretty and these actresse are half black, half white. But something on my mind always told me that blondes beat ever women type (if they are pretty of cours!) I don’t mean that an ugly blonde can beat a goregoeus brunette! But that a pretty blonde girl with colored eyes (maybe brown) will be chose without any hesitation by a man over a pretty brunette with brown eyes

I just finished reading Nurture shock and supposedly most Caucasian or "white" people do NOT tell their kids that they are WHITE and that there are other races. The kids grow up picking kids of their own race or color skin anyway. Would you be offended if you were told you were WHITE if you are Caucasian or black if you were black? Or Asian/Tan if you are Asian and Hispanic or Mexican? Do you really think that if people pretended the race issue was not an issue and there was no such thing as "race" and that we all were just "humans" then kids will just grow up thinking there are no such thing as WHITE, BLACK, Asian or anything? I was mentioning that I am Asian and my husband is WHITE and this totally offended some WHITE women... EXTREMELY to the max... what do you think? Is it offensive to be called by your race? are you offended when you have to fill out those forms asking for your race?

My boyfriend is white, I'm mixed (white mom/black dad). I think my skin tone is similar to Zendaya's. Anyway, I've never had an issue with being a mixed kid and I've dated a bunch of guys of different races and I never felt like it was an issue.

This current boyfriend however seems to avoid the topic of us being an interracial couple. He gets very uncomfortable when I point out that we are of different races and refuses to comment. For example, once I mentioned something about people close to me calling me "nega" and "morena", which I think are cute but are used for tan/dark skinned girls, and he said he preferred to avoid them for being 'racially charged'. When I met his parents mentioned that he told them beforehand that they weren't supposed to ask me anything about race, which is a topic I really don't mind. If that makes any difference, he's German Argentine and I'm Brazilian. We both live in Brazil.

Is he just afraid to sound/seem like a racist or is there more to it? I can't help but feel like deep inside he doesn't want to think about the fact that I'm not white? Am I overreacting here?
