I'm old school in the sense I hate how people text and message for months before even one date, my parents met and dad asked mom out the first night they made it work until he passed away nearly 25 years into the marriage, and I inherited his level of straightforwardness, I'm respectful but I'll openly ask a girl out etc even if we've only know each other a short while and haven't got too personal, I'm respectful about it and only want something real so I'm not just going for sex, but girls do you mind when guys are that bold/straightforward? Would you give a guy a date who did that if he seemed decent etc, (know that a date doesn't make you boyfriend and girlfriend, it's the testing grounds for that, just seems like the first couple dates out got replaced with the first couple months texting

OK, so there's this girl that I really liked last year, was practically obsessed (not literally) with this girl, as I have this idea of what what the perfect girl for me would be (a bit of a smart ass, got that rocker girl look, black hair) And after 7 months of crushing on her and maybe saying a max of 50 words to her, I finally got the courage *terrified of rejection btw) to talk to her, though, it was more like a friendly "HEY! We like the same music?" chat and then after that, we talked everyday in class, lunch, she gave me her number, and for that whopping month we became pretty good friends. We text a few times, mostly me initiating the conversation. ⅗ times I would usually be the last to send a message to her, until we talked the next day. She even told me a few secrets about her and her previous relationship (her only boyfriend btw), and said I was someone who she could trust (Win)
Now, I knew I fucked up by waiting so long to talk to her (June, school was ending) so I asked her if she was free over the Summer to hang out, as "It would be a waste to become friends for only these 4 weeks and then never talk again", and she said that she'll try and find out. Fast forward, about a week later, exams had rolled through. I just finished my last one, so I got out of school 3 days early (Friday, instead of Monday). I messaged her, in order to start conversation, "How did you do on your history exam" She said in a jokey way she didn't care to check, and then I made a joke about how I could just be lazy and do nothing over Summer. My last message to her was "Maybe I'll see you tomorrow, since I'm going back anyway to say my "Goodbyes" to the plebs that are still testing" obviously being cheeky. After that, no response. At all. She read it, as it was marked as seen on facebook. I figured maybe she would eventually message me back, via text or facebook, but it’s been over a month. (Gonna update the rest)

Now I don't know if she just doesn't want to talk to me anymore, or maybe she felt like that was a good place to end it and I'm looking too much into it, or for whatever reason she's waiting for me to message her, or what.
What do you think? Did my message ruin things? Should I just say whats up?
