My boyfriend and I were childhood playmates and we always liked each other even then.

The reason I'm still upset with my bf's mother is because she took her anger at me long ago. I was only 10 years old (I'm now 19) and she slapped me. That was done because for the longest she blamed my long deceased mother for something she didn't do.

She just found out very recently that my mother's own sister was behind all this. My aunt framed my mom after her death. As a result, I got the blame too, that woman banned us from ever seeing each other for years and my reputation was ruined ever since. That woman kept gossiping terrible things aboug my mother and me for all those 9 years.

Though she personally came to apologize for everything, I'm still upset and haven't forgiven her completely. The main reason is because she's only sorry just because she found out my mother was innocent. How about, being sorry for venting your hatred on an innocent child even if my mother had been guilty?

I'm curious to know what anyone felt when they saw a post/picture etc. of their abuser pop on social media or any other platform or encountered them by accident outside.

I'm going through something similar, at the moment. The sexual abuse is very fresh and I haven't forgiven him for what he did and what frustrates me is that he doesn't see anything wrong in his actions. (So no closer for me)
Now, we share the same professional network platform and I see his boostful posts a lot more than usual. Where he makes sure to have at least one picture of himself in that event. When I see his smile it makes my stomach turn and I boil with anger/disbelief.
I'm avoiding any mutual event that would make me stumble on him.

I really hope I get over these feelings of anger and find a way to move on and find peace in my heart.

Yesterday, I met up with the girl my friends and I would torment for years (sometimes ambushing her by surprise, shoved her a couple times and put her in a garbage bin; I was the leader of all this). That's the main reason she left HS and didn't finish the last remaining year with us. We're now 24 year olds. I was forgiven in the end. She wanted to meet me in person after we've been chatting on fb too much.

She kept an old diary about all the events and her parents found it and read it. They somehow found out about our meeting. Upon meeting her both were there and very upset. The father said he wishes I had been a guy because it would have been easy for him. However, the mother upon seeing me immediately slapped the hell out of me, twice. It was hard enough to hard a bit of blood (my lip is a bit swollen). I didn't fight back. I let her take all her anger and frustration.

The girl told her mother to stop and the father had to hold his wife. While she understands what her mother did, she said it herself that she thinks that was wrong. She apologized for the inconvenience but honestly I think it was deserved.
