Both of them like me, i'm aware of that. Let's say the first guy is Kevin who has been my friend longer than the second guy, we did a lot of activities together. He is caring, nice, sweet compared to the other guy, he acts silly just to make me laugh, he can be a pushover just to help me. Problem is we don't have a lot of things in common plus he is a bit unattractive physically to me compared to the other guy.

Let's call the second guy James who is my friend since few months, i don't get to see him much face to face unlike Kevin. He is also caring, sweet, and nice but he acts like an asshole sometimes when i tell him something normally he would tell me i don't care in a joking way, but deep inside i know that he does. Sometimes when i ask for his help, if it was really important he would help me if it wasn't he would tell me no. He stands up for himself unlike the other guy, sometimes i say hurtful things (not in purpose) to Kevin that i regret after a while but he would never speak about them. James is the opposite if i tell him something that he doesn't like, he would speak for sure.

I never had a problem with Kevin, but James? I had a few arguments with him, one of them was serious (I admit i was the reason), it was last month we stopped talking for like one week and i really regretted what i did, i wanted to apology but i couldn't. I thought i lost him forever, but when i was down and in need for someone to be there for me, he from all my friends was there for me but he is kinda distant ever since. I also have a lot of common things with James, he is quite attractive too but i can't just ignore he can be an asshole.

My friend and I have been seeing each other and texting daily for the past few months. He knew i was previously hung up on an ex and has offered to be a shoulder to lean on until i got over him.

I'm assuming, from all the time we've been spending with each other, our relationship is starting to get a bit serious. Just before he left for a holiday he told me not to do something silly and meet up with the guy while he's away. He also told me i shouldn't even be thinking about the person at all.

So if he's telling me to not think about other guys, is it a sign he wants to be exclusive with me? Our relationship is in a grey area.
