Ladies, help me help other females; I know how grueling it is to waltz into a conversation with someone that is dreadfully boring - let's skip the dull parts and jump straight to my question as briefly as possible.

With "universal approaches" like: "Hello, my name is …" - typically women can see your interest a mile away and can presume you're boring. Unless there is something outstanding about your attire, you have huge biceps, or the ladies are just generally having a good day - odds are that this guy is going to be rejected.

Being myself - I don't warm up to people easily until the conversation starts to flow; from there I have no problem. For critics sake, let’s presume I use the boring opener above; most women would already be thinking: “Yawnnnn..” *boring!* and moving on to the next conversation.

What are some tips that you would prefer guys, like myself, knew when they were approaching women? And in general – please describe any feelings or vibes you would have in the given scenario (Where “Mr. Boring” comes over to say hello, when you already know he’s going to do just that)
