Me and this girl started off chatting online and slowly went out on a couple of dates.

We texted almost everyday and if we had misunderstandings, either of us will slowly to apologise and continue the chat. I like how we can almost talk about anything and everything very fast upon getting to know one another and we know details of one another very well. I remember once her apologising to me after a week of no contact and asking me if we could start over, something she claims to have never done before.

Following then, I think she grew tired of me and I myself maybe got a little bit too clingy. She started to ignore me and that was it. She did sent me a long text on apologising how it ended.

Months after, I had to leave the country for my internship, and I knew I had to stop checking out her social media and initiating contact to focus on my internship.

However, she's the one initiating contact, telling me not to give up when she sees me down, wishing me birthday when I never thought she would remember and asking me for my number cause she lost it when it clearly is redundant as we're not gonna contact again.

Can someone please enlighten me on her behaviour here as I am clueless whether she's hoping to be in contact again or she's just being nice or I don't know. I would appreciate a written opinion, Thank you.
