Since becoming pregnant 10 weeks ago, my girlfriend has become extremely aggressive and violent towards me. This started for no apparent reason so I can only put her actions down to her hormones. The violence has escaladed in recent weeks though and this weekend she put me in hospital. It began at first with her slapping me around the face or throwing the TV remote at me, or perhaps something like a candle. It was nothing I couldn't handle, but after a few weeks she started punching me in the face, kicking me & scratching me with her nails. Eventually I said I would leave if the attacks carried on. She cried & said she was sorry, but when I forgave her, the attacks only resumed the next day.

At first the attacks would only happen during an argument or a disagreement such as over what to have for dinner or what to watch on TV. Now the attacks are completely unprovoked & she has started kicking/kneeing me in the crotch, often leaving me on the floor in a heap and breathless. She has also headbutted me in the face several times giving me nosebleeds. The attacks do not happen every day but if she gets angry she will take it out on me by picking up the nearest object (s) & throwing them at me. When I was watching TV last weekend, she threw a metal doorstop at the back of my head and I had to have 14 stitches & spend the night in hospital. She told the hospital that I fell off a stool and because I was scared of her I went along with it.

I am scared because I am constantly looking over my shoulder & worrying about the next attack. I feel like I am walking on eggshells the entire time, and the slightest thing will set her off in a rage. Recently I have become so scared that I have been staying an extra 2-3 hours a day at work just to avoid her & I have stopped watching my TV programs alltogether because I fear she will get angry over it again. I cannot fight back against her or walk out on her because she is pregnant with my baby! What should I do? I want to help her.

My friend just found out in Feb., he was going to be a Dad! He was through the roof extatic! His girlfriend (21, he is 24) is now three month pregnant and acting kinda weird even for what I'm told is pregnant women. She is staying at her parents house and her mother offered to help take care of the baby. He tried to move in, but the gfs Dad wouldn't allow it. Also, her mother keeps saying things to him like "If you two aren't compatible we won't blame you if you don't want to stick around." etc ., even though he has made it perfectly clear he does. And she has lots of pics of her Ex on her social media pages.

She has refused to see him for 3 weeks now and come up with a many lame excuses such as "She is helping her sister move" (When she is over 3 months pregnant O. o). She refuses to let him come in to any of the Dr. s appointments only allowing her mom and sister to come. They have discussed moving into an apartment together, but now she refuses to even talk about it. This is on top of what I am told is normal pregnant woman behavior.

I am not a father, myself, so I have little insight into this area what if anything does this mean?
