My boyfriend and I after being together for almost a year just broke up. I was the one who ended things because he just can't seem to understand that its not right to be secretive and hiding things in a relationship. We have had a few issues as of late and a major one has been his lack of honesty and him choosing to keep me in the dark over some important stuff over the duration of the relationship. He has not been transparent with me fully and I believe that is a requirement in a healthy relationship, well its definitely one of mine anyway!!

The shit hit the fan on Saturday night when I discovered he had not involved me or made me aware of something that I feel I had the right to know, there was no including me in it and running it past me and it was the straw that broke the camels back in the end, I just couldn't take another moment of it especially when he knew I was upset and tried to pass it off as nothing when it was something to me. This just added to the issue as I felt he was invalidating my feelings as his partner. The next morning I decided that I had really just had enough and did not wish to keep the relationship going. We haven't spoken since Sat night.

I had not taken him off my Facebook even though I had ended things. He puts up 2 memes on Sunday taking a dig at me knowing they would show up in my news feed and I would see them. This morning I find that he had posted a big colourful big lettered post saying: 'It was fantastic to catch up with you again Melanie, thanks for the coffee and good luck for today" He had a big smiley face up and even went to the trouble to tag her in the post so it appeared on hers as well.

Melanie is his ex girlfriend that he had before me a good 2 years ago. Obviously he had put it up so that I could see it because he knew that it would upset me. I must say it did kind of sting a little knowing that he had run back to his ex the day after we broke up for coffee. I blocked him. Why do this?

The other day my boyfriend of 10 months and I were talking and he happened to bring up the question "If my daughter wanted to live with us one day, what are your thoughts on that"?

So currently we don't live together. He has 2 kids from a previous relationship, one who is 5 and the other who is 6. I have my daughter with me from a previous relationship and she is 6. Our current arrangement is that he has his kids every second weekend and on those particular weekends that he has them we alternate time spent at each others homes just to be fair, so one time he and the kids will come over to my place for the weekend and the next time he has them, my daughter and I go over to his house for the weekend. His kids are a little more full on than my daughter and so it can seem like a bloody circus at times, just different upbringings and slightly different parenting styles unfortunately.

Our history to date is that we did end up rushing things and he actually moved in to my place about 4 months into our relationship but he had been staying the majority of the time at mine about a month prior to that. The kids started spending weekends at my house pretty much a month into our relationship. Right from the get go the kids have always stayed at mine. Then at the 8 month mark I found out my boyfriend had a serious issue which he had been hiding from me and which had impacted our relationship somewhat so I asked him to leave and we broke up.

Considering all this plus my update to this poll, if she were one day to move in with us, would I be financially accountable for her. Like is it reasonable to expect that I financially support her with my boyfriend eg. school fees, excursions, hobbies and any other day to day living expenses. I'm just wondering if that is a reasonable expectation from my boyfriend considering she has a mother and father who should be providing for her, why would I be expected to do that? It doesn't seem right.
