I was told that it doesn't matter how pretty or handsome you are if you're fat you're undateable and undesirable. Growing up I started to feel this was true. All my life I always heard from men and women that I was pretty but I was fat. So I had a lifestyle change and lost 52 pounds in 1 year and 3 months.

Recently I ran into a guy from highschool that I had not seen in a year on transit and he complimented me on my weightloss I said thanks and we chatted a bit, before he left he gave me a hug and asked to hang out sometime which is something he had never done before and i've known him since elementary school. My personality was the same, it was me inside but my outer shell changed so suddenly i was worth his time.

Also a few weeks ago I was at the bus stop and this stranger started talking to me then he asked me for my number which is something that never happened to me before.

I have a boyfriend now, this is the happy part of this story. We started dating before I lost my weight and he accepted me and loved me for who I was. He never told me to lose weight or judged me. But I still felt scared that he would leave me because of my weight. When I think back to my childhood and my teen years I always feel sad because of all the terrible memories related to my weight and getting constantly bullied for it.

There is a guy in one of my classes that I have liked for a few weeks now. For a while, I thought that he didn't like me at all, because he would purposely ignore me and just talk to other people (and girls) in front of me. For weeks we never talked to each other and just stared/locked eyes with each other. A couple of times, we would lock out eyes for a few seconds without expressions. One time he was handing me a piece of paper and looked nervous while doing it, we locked eyes for 4 seconds until I looked away. It was weird because he just kept looking at me. One day in class, because I was done with the ongoing silence, I decided to kind of start a conversation. A couple of times I would comment/say stuff to him and he and I would smile and lock eyes with each other. One time I was answering a question and he answered it before me while locking eyes with me. He also seems fidgety and nervous sometimes throughout the class period. He also sometimes tries to position himself closer to me, but not too close.

I think he likes me but the weird thing he does is the minute that class is over, he walks out the door and doesn't try to talk to me or anything (basically ignores me). I follow him (we have the same pathway to our cars) until we separate in other directions. We never talk outside of class (nor do I really see him) so I can understand if he is not comfortable in talking to me, but he always seems in a rush to get out the door. The other day we were both walking back to the parking lot and he suddenly stopped and sat on a bench, using his phone. I just walked past him and didn't say anything. Do you think maybe he wanted me to talk to him? I would feel like if a guy liked a girl, he would try to talk to her outside of class too, but he never does that. I really like him, but I have been hurt before by guys so I try to also keep my distance. I can't tell what is going on...
