I just want to know what all you guys think.
I am single (story of my life), and I live at home with my parents. I am turning 27 soon.
I have means to move out but the thing is, if I do, that is a huge offence that would cause disownment. I care for my family very much and I don't want to live my life with my parents disowning me.

I live at home yet I do not mooch off my parents. I pay for all the bills that come in and I take care of the groceries. I paid for the household appliances and the new carpet installed. I cook, clean, do every chore in the house. With all of that, I spoil my parents with expensive, beautiful things as well.

So say you are interested in me and found out that I do this and live at home. Would you STILL think I am pathetic? I mean, isn't it better than shoving your parents in a home?

Would you still date me/ marry me/ defacto with me.

Let's just suppose that all the men become stay at home dads who do the cooking, cleaning and other household chores. Women have 98-100% of all jobs.

This includes military, firewomen, plumbers, construction, scientists, doctors, legal professionals, video-game designers, CEOs, stock brokers, truck drivers and everything else!!

With nuclear weapons and guns, do you think it would work? I'm sure if all the women sat at home it would but not so sure about the reverse.

Preface: My partner and i have always been hardworking full-time people so I have not noticed much of this earlier on. I first moved in with my partner and his father for over a year now and my partner and i have just had a child who is now 4 months. Which obviously means I have been a stay at home mum. Anyway, in the 3 months of the 4 month duration my partners father had trouble with work and is now unemployed so he now stays at home with myself and the child.

The point is. And I fully respect my father in law to be but oh my fck he is fcking lazy! He does not do any chores whatsoever and i have been cleaning for my partner and him for the 3 months i have been capable of moving about (had a cesarean). All he does is sit, watch TV, read, play with my son for a few minutes, sleep, eat ffs. This is everydamnday. I am fed up with it. Does not clean after himself. Is this appropriate for me to be cleaning up after him, cooking, doing his laundry etc etc? Is this also a role of a stay at home mum to do everything for him? I understand doing these things to a certain degree although he does not do anything. I am not exaggerating. I need opinions as I will snap eventually. We are a regular Australian family with no beliefs in our lives (such as how women do all for men). What do you think?
