Search Results: transferring schools

So last year I got back in touch with a girl I went to high school with because she transferred universities and we hung out at least a few days every week. Sometimes at her place other times at mine. We haven’t seen each other much the last few months because we both go to school full time while working full time and she works as well. It’s hard for me to find time to see her but we do still try and make an effort to see each other.
We were texting back and forth one night and I kind of told her I had feelings for her and whoever had her was extremely lucky and her response was “Thank you, but I do just see us as friends, and I’m sorry if that’s not what you wanted to hear.”
She’s actually been a lot more open and candid about what’s going on in her life and we share a lot more with each other now. She still calls sometimes and asks to hangout like she brushed the whole conversation off. Others have decided to lose contact with me when I ask them out but she doesn’t seem to want to?
Am I permanently stuck in the friend zone?
