I had been at my job for 4 months, and I had developed amazing chemistry with a girl in a separate area. We would good around a lot and talk to each other whenever we worked the same days.
So, one day, I asked if she was seeing anyone, and unfortunately she was. But she want even awkward about it, and we actually started having more conversation and fun at work. To the point, we are currently pretty close.

My last day was today, and she was super upset to see me go, but as I was leaving I gave her my number to stay in touch. She said she totally would and was happy. She gave me a hug, and I saw her imput my number in her phone as I was leaving.

Basically all I'm asking here is, although I'm perfectly fine being friends, and I didn't want to lose contact.
If by chance she becomes single, would I be someone she'd consider because of how I asked her out and how our friendship developed since then?

This girl recently started working at my job, and I also just recently put in my notice to leave.
I was put in the girls area because of an injury I sustained. And I got to know her a little bit. She would ask me a lot of questions and somewhat personal questions, and would also volunteer her answers without me asking. She seemed super nice and interested.
Because my last day is Monday, I wanted to try and ask her out while I still could. So I went up to her today and asked if since I was leaving, she'd like to go out or do something. She had me repeat my question, but then she told me she had just been broken up with, and I apologized and she said I was super sweet.
As I was leaving I went back up to her, I apologized for my terrible timing, and she said I was fine, and she was really upbeat. Then I gave her a piece of paper with my phone number on it, and told her that since I probably wouldn't see her, I wanted to give her that if she changed her mind is just wanted to talk. She smiled at me and thanked me. And I went home.

I haven't seen her since, and I haven't heard from her. I know she just got broken up with, so not surprised nothing has happened already. But I had to extend my last day out a week, and I still haven't seen her, but I'm not going out of my way to do so.

I know the break up is fresh, but I'm surprised it's been a week, and she didn't even just take me up on my offer to just talk. She seemed into me before I started working with her, and working with her made me believe more.

Is it just the break up or something else?

Also, if I do see her before I leave, what could I say or should say?
