Search Results: three day rule

I've been seeing this guy for over 2 months now. We decided to be exclusive 3 weeks ago. A week ago he said he loved me, only this weekend did I say it back.

We spend 3 nights a week together, enjoy each other's company, sex is great and I've met his family members and his friends (they say to him that I'm a keeper).

I last saw him yesterday morning as I left his place for work. He didn't message me at all yesterday after leaving him but I wasn't too bothered about that.

Now it's Tuesday 9pm and I haven't had a single message or call from him. I find it a bit strange because in the whole time I've known him I've never had to message him first. I'm starting to wonder if the ball game has changed, like he's not so keen?

I have asked friends and they've said I should just pick up the phone and call him but my questions are:

a) Should I message him/phone him? I mean, what are the rules/etiquette on messaging/calling behaviour when you've both decided to be each other's bf and gf. I haven't initiated contact unless I've phoned him because I'm waiting downstairs at his door! Am I being completely stupid? Does it matter once you become exclusive?

b) By me continuing to act like this from here on in, will it give him the wrong impression that I'm not as into him as he is into me if he keeps initiating contact 100% of the time? Do you think he's waiting to see if I can be bothered to talk to him?

c) I don't want to feel like I'm burdening him by calling/texting him all the time. He always says I'm silly when I say things like if I'm extending my stay: - "Do you want me to stay Sunday too? I don't want to burden you."
- "Of course I do. Don't be silly."

d) I'm also wondering if he needs his down time after spending three nights with me. I need my space to do my own thing too but that shouldn't stop you from sending a little text, right?

It may be helpful to point out that he's medicated bipolar. I'm thinking maybe he's having an off day?

I have been seeing this guy for three months, so I thought it was enough time for him to decide what he wants. He randomly said out of the blue that he didn't want a girlfriend and it was a friends with benefits thing only. Now, this would usually be fine with me if he hadn't have been leading me on and he had told me this before we'd slept together and met each others parents and what not:

1.) We cuddle for quite a long time even if we don't have sex.
2.) He's keen to hang out when he knows I'm not having sex with him (periods etc..)
3.) He's met my friends, I've met his
4.) He has dinner at my place and gets along well with my mum
5.) We go out to lunch/coffee/dinner etc..
6.) He initiates conversation every day (uses beautiful, gorgeous and terms of endearment regularly)

In a friends with benefits relationship for me, it's little communication outside of nudes/sexting/arranging to meet up. Little to no cuddling and definitely not hanging out with parents, seeing each other outside of the bedroom and hanging out with friends together.

Is it wrong of me to have got the wrong impression? What are the rules and boundaries in a friends with benefits relationship? Why is he doing this?

I met this guy Friday night and we really hit it off! Danced all night, flirty, kissed, he asked for my number. We hung out and talked/kissed until the next afternoon and he took me home. When dropping me off, kissed me two times and joked asking if I would know which number was his when he hits me up. I last saw him Saturday afternoon. I know he was going out that night and was busy with work/school. So it is Tuesday now, no text or anything, I sent him a picture of me Saturday night joking about something we talked about and he responded shortly after.

Am I over thinking? I thought he was really interested, could he just be playing cool as the "three day guy rule" and hit me up later on? Or do you think he lost interest overnight?

Confused, I really want to hear from him! I feel like I did my part reaching out..soo?
