Okay so, I have Chronic Lyme disease, Chronic Pain, Depression, Anxiety, and IBS.. Lately, its been getting a lot worse. The last week or so, my legs don't work properly causing me to fall down a lot. I also am having a lot of memory and speech and communication issues.

The other day, my boyfriend mentioned that he is sometimes worried that he won't be able to deal with my illness forever. That one day, he will just get fed up. That maybe I would be better off with someone who knew they could handle it. (I just responded "baby you are handling it better than I am")

But it got me thinking. Its probably really hard to be my boyfriend, or heck my family and friends.

I got out of bed for the first time in 4 days and went out to lunch with my family today, and that tired me out.

Would you be able to hold a friendship with someone like this?

Who is depressed, constantly in pain, randomly has panic attacks and starts shaking for no reason what so ever?

I mean, I can't go out and hang with my friends. I have been sick for many many years, I don't even know what a "Normal" teenage life would be like because I have spent so much of mine trying to get well.

The sicker I get, the more friends I lose. But then I wonder if they were ever really even my friends. I am fairly chipper, and kind. I just can't really leave the house often.

How would you react if someone you have grown up with seemed to look perfectly healthy, but was always saying they were sick? Would you think they were faking it, or overreacting? Or would you believe them and try to help as best you could?
