I've always heard people say that guys don't change and that you shouldn't try to change them. I'm a bit confused about this because I always thought that in a relationship the two should grow together and bring each other up and learn from each other how to be better people. My boyfriend is always telling me he's changed so much for the better because of me and he'll list of specific things. I've only tried to change some of the ways he thought about things and he's always thanked me for it. The same goes for me! He's helped me get rid of my bad habits and grow as a person. I love his constructive criticism because it allows me to grow and tells me what I need to work on and he says the same thing and asks for my advice. So I don't understand where the stereotype comes from.

Do you guys think that, in a relationship, people should accept every single flaw or help the other to become a better person and why?

That (some) girls are attracted to?

I ask because I guess my boyfriend didn't know. He was having a bad day and was feeling pretty down about himself and to cheer him up I listed off everything about him that I loved, starting with his personality traits. They weren't working so I moved onto his physical traits I liked. Bottom line is that I told him that I liked his model lines. He seemed shocked that those were a thing that girls liked and he "thought those were just signs of being thin to the point of anorexia." He seemed fascinated that girls would be even remotely attracted to them.

So my question is: Guys, did any of you know that model lines were a thing or were you unaware like my boyfriend?
