Search Results: strangers avoid me

I want to start power walking as part of my exercise routine, but the apartments my boyfriend & I live at are so fucking sketchy. We hardly ever hang out around outside here, unless we need to get to our cars to go somewhere. Luckily though, my boyfriend is able to keep most people intimidated by him. He can look scary when he wants to & I feel like that's generally easier for men to do, for some reason. He stays indoors, more so because he can't stand social contact with strangers. Anyway, getting off topic! I'm so freaked out by the idea of jogging around this neighborhood. I just feel like someone might try to bother me or even attack me. There have been incidents here before. I have mace on my keychain, but I feel like even that won't protect me from unwanted behavior. I don't want to drive elsewhere to get the fitness down, because I work a lot. So it would be better to just work out at home & then I have time still to get ready for work. I'm really not a huge morning person, so I would hate having to get up super early to avoid traffic & drive somewhere else to work out. So should I waste money & time driving to a park? Or should I actually tough it out & just walk it off?
