In the occasion where no one knows who I like (with the exception of my close friends), but my crush's friends tease the two of us then what would it mean? Plus the fact that I always bump into my crush and his 'gang' as well as his reactions towards me (very happy to see me, says hi everyday, calls my name a lot, enjoys being by my side and sometimes has his body facing me). His friends once called me his girlfriend and will become silent even when I talk to only one person amongst them. One of his friends saw me at KFC once and kept looking at me and did it again after morning assembly but quickly turned away when I looked at him. Even after ending our friendship, he makes eye contact with me at times and last Thursday when our break is the same, he and his friends waited until my friends and I have finished eating before proceeding to leave and walk slowly behind us despite the fact that we both ignore each other now. They sat at the table behind us and just played with their empty plastic bottles while waiting when they could have already left. He tried to go near me once and he was so happy to see me but I frowned when I saw him which made our situation a lot worse then.

I know I know... it sounds ridiculous. I dislike this "hot and cold" attitude this guy has. It's been going on for 8 months now... I know he got busy in February and March so I backed off and let him sort things out. He's been doing well, and he was contacting me a decent amount end of March (no where near the daily texts or calls like the infatuation stage in the beginning), and I thought "Ok, now it's time for us to have fun again!"

Well, he hasn't contacted me much this month. I sent him a few texts wishing him well, and he would respond instantly maybe 2-3 texts then go silent. Ok, busy no problem I think. A week goes by so I call and get no answer. I wait to text, and he instantly replies, again with maybe 4 responses tops. I get a bit hurt, but ask him if he just wants to end this, I haven't been able to hang out with him or even talk really in months. He tells me no, he loves me, he cares deeply for me and wants to be with me. I said that I would appreciate a text a few times a week then and he said of course, anything for me. He posts and chats on Facebook a lot, so he doesn't seem "busy" to me.

It's been 9 days since I've heard from him. This situation has my stomach in knots. I do go out and keep busy, but I mean, he tells me he loves me, cares for me, wants to be with me but we aren't actually together or communicating... does this make sense to anyone? Any possible reason this might be happening? He's obviosuly not talking to me about it... I've told him this is making me confused and hurting my feelings. Actions speak louder than words and the actions are telling me he lost interest, but his words are telling me he loves me.

Side note: He isn't a player... that I know of. He wants one woman, and one woman only, although I know that could be just a line. I've known him for 5 years, and before me, he was loyal to his one girlfriend (who cheated on him and broke his heart, and I know he hates cheating/cheaters). I've had
