I'm sure a lot of you are pro-choice. You believe a woman should have the right to choose. Personally I'm pro-life. I hope you respect my opinion as I respect yours.

Most people support abortion. At least when rape, incest or health issues/dangers are involved. However abortions that are done for other reasons are much more controversial. These abortions are done for "convenience" or some other reason. These reasons can be valid, however they are not fatal or hold significant emotional torment. A common reason is that the woman is too young, isn't ready to settle down and wants to wait for the right guy to have kids with. I'm referring to these kinds of "convenience" abortions in this question, if you are confused. Obviously making a woman carry a baby that is dead or a result of rape is not OK.

I'm not asking if you think it should be legal or not. To be honest women will just do it anyways. If you're Pro-Choice that's cool. If you're Pro-Life its also cool.

If you say yes it doesn't mean you are pro-life. You can be pro-choice and still think abortions are wrong.

A few things about this case:

1) They were both of legal age, both had good jobs.

2) He offered to stay with her through the pregnancy and pay any costs.

3) He told her that he would adopt the baby and that she never had to see the baby again if she did not want to.

4) He wanted to be with her, she did not want to be with him.

Given these considerations, should she have had the baby? Was she right to abort? What do you think of her actions - especially how she treated her (by then) ex-bf?

Pro-Choice: The belief that no one else other than the mother has a say in the future of the child. Not even the father. This is the belief that babies do not matter and are disposable. This is the belief that babies, if they are not exactly how the mother wants them, are worthless and need to be thrown away. For example, if a woman wants a girl but find out the baby will be a girl she gets an abortion or if the baby is slightly disabled.

Pro-Life: This believes that babies are separate from their mothers. This is the belief that live matters and that babies and parenthood should be respected.

I'm Pro-Life. I think abortion when rape or health problems are involves should be legal and safe. However I think that women using abortion as a last minute birth control because they want to continue their career's or don't want to have to drop out of college, is wrong. Women should have more respect for human life and be more responsible and use the birth control which is cheap and so easy to acquire in the modern world. Picking and choosing when life is valuable and when life is meaningless (and needs to be thrown out) is wrong in my opinion. Life matters and it always matters, not just when a woman leaves college and gets married, does life suddenly become valuable.
