I for one completely agree with this since there's apparently so many people on the internet nowadays who believe they're parenting experts/masters with the remarks of "when I was a kid, my parents used to beat me all of the time and I turned out okay. Kids are spoiled and misbehaving nowadays because their parents never beat or yell at them" or "My parents never beat or screamed at me when I was a kid and I turned out fine. Any sort of beating is child abuse".

Apparently, everyone nowadays has their "parenting degree". Here's what I'll share about how I was raised BUT with an un-biased story and answer as possible. Whenever I go out of line, my parents would every once in a while spank me and ocasionally whip me in my behind or legs with a belt (if I go WAY too much out of line) but not to the point of getting bruised or scarred. Sometimes, they'll holler at me every once in a while if I put myself in great physical danger.

My parents have taught me very early in my childhood that everything that I want and sometimes need in life, I have to work for it, not to feel self-entitled to demand it without earning it and that pouting and crying would hardly ever get me anywhere in life nor would it help any of my solutions. They have also taught me that while I should never resort to violence in any of my problems, only use a certain amount of violent retalation if it's necessary for me to defend myself against someone (regardless of whoever the attacker is (whether male or female) in the real world for me to survive.

That's all of what my parents have taught me in childhood and I don't know if this style of parenting would work with other parents and kids so I should have no say in suggestions for other people who are parents.

Do you think you can handle killing someone, or even be able to do it? I once considered joining the military of either the U.S or IDF, also thought about SWAT.
So what do you think, would you be able to kill someone with a gun? If yes, what about close hand to hand combat? Can you physically and mentally do this? I believe I can. I have no problem with violence/gore, I am studying to be a surgeon.
