It seems like a complete waste of money to me. What's the point? Visas are meaningless in America, as are the criminal background checks, and medical checkups required for those visas. Anyone can now come to America illegally, and be put ahead of those in line who are attempting to do it the legal way.

Actually, I still believe you need a visa to fly into America, but who knows how much longer that will be a requirement.

they could lie on their resume/CV, or phone interview, or make up stories to make themselves look better.

does this make you want to lie on an application? i would say that lying on an application used to be a criminal offense but people don't really check or press charges because they are too busy checking your criminal background. Give me your thoughts G@G
