Search Results: asking a guy to prom

I was working late and a coworker of mine mentioned how little time we had left until graduation. I responded with a light "yeaaaah. Can't wait," and moved on to what I was doing. He sort of sat there looking at me as if he expected more of a response to which I started getting a bit uncomfortable under his glare so I pretended to ha e other things to do. He then brought up prom asking, " So...do you know what you're doing for prom?" I respond with a silly "Nope" and he then pushes "Do you know who you're going with?" I then scoffed at his silly question (I'm not the type of girl guys at my school go after) and sensed that he wanted me to pick up with his conversation. " No I don't know! But I'll just do what I usually do!" I then proceeded to do a weird hand motion with a cute face to match -sarcasm of course- and then I ask "...Do you?". His response isn't necessarily sadness or embarrassment, but it's a matter of fact. And he looks at me again, waiting for an eye opening answer. To which I then remove myself from the warmth that I'm feeling within this vicinity. So what do you think? Was he just curious? Are there other things that he does that are better clues of his interest?
