My SO is older than me by 6 years, which for me, is not ideal. I generally like to stay under a 5 year rule. However I did make an exception for this guy because I just liked him that much.
When I revealed to one of my friends (I'm not terribly close to them, they're one of those friends that you catch up with every few weeks or so and act like besties while you're catching up, but then go back to not saying a word to each other for a few weeks or however long) how much older my boyfriend was, he was like "Oh, so you wanted a father figure?" And I sat there like "tf..." Like I get it, he's plenty older than me, and there are guys I work with that are younger than him who already have kids. But That is certainly not what I was looking for. I wanted a MAN, sure, but I've always found "father figure" type relationships to be a bit icky when it involves said father figure being intimate with the younger SO.

But is that just the general assumption that people get? Automatically assume I have "daddy" issues and need a father figure, even if it involves sleeping with said man?

my boyfriend which I've been dating for almost a month now accidentally forgot his lie- he was being teased by other seniors and they were jokingly calling him a pedophile , I asked him why and then he said it was because he was almost 18 😱 wtf (he forgot he lied). he told me he was 16(he skipped a grade) but he's really 17 about to turn 18 soon. Today I spoke to him for about an hour about how it hurt me , that he lied and he told me that I should have figured and that he's sorry for lying, He said he just wanted to be with me (he was scared I would reject). I actually got intimate with him emotionally and physically! I would ask him all the time before if he was hiding something and he told me he was hiding nothing and I swear I knew something was up but he would get defensive. should I just forgive him and still keep the relationship? I'm 15 and I'm no where near my bday. I feel so gullible and hurt. I'll never tell my mother about us now
