What did you think of Moana? Did you like the plot? The characters? The songs? The scenery?
I must admit, when I saw the adverts and everything, I was like, "Ohhhh, pu-lease, not another silly Disney movie that only the girls are going to like, the plot is going to be bad, the songs will be dumb, really feminist messages, etc." This was not a film that was very high on my bucket list. I did not like Frozen, the song Let It Go was admittedly catchy and well written but the plot was a mess, the characters were silly, etc. I supported the Scandinavian theme because of my Scandinavian heritage. Tangled was fun to watch, but that Flynn Ryder guy was a jerk, Rapunzel was silly, and the setting was really over -used. I liked the Mother Gothel, though.

So when I was up in Yorkshire, a friend booked out an entire VUE Cinema auditorium for her 140 friends (aged 17-30) to watch Moana. I was expecting to want to walk out soon, but it caught me immediately. The scenery was unique, beautiful, the characters were typical but fun, the songs were nice, and the plot was simple and sweet. This was a nice surprise. If you have not seen it, you should.
