Ok, here goes. I am a middle aged married woman with a husband that is nearly 10 years older than I am. Many years ago, I worked with a doctor (OB/GYN) when I was first married. He delivered our only child. He and my husband played baseball together back then too. I have continued to see him as a patient every year for my regular exams for 30 years now. We didn't see each other socially after I quit working as a nurse at the hospital where he practices. He is retiring and I had my last appointment recently. We talked for over an hour after my appointment (I was his last patient of the day) We discussed our children, what he was going to do now that he would no longer be working, and just generally catching up and talking about 'old times'. (He is recently widowed) The office staff was still there, so we weren't alone. As I was leaving, he said "Let me have a hug before you go and he came around the desk and hugged me tight... and before I knew what was happening, he kissed me square on the lips! I'd be lying if I said it was bad. He's a handsome man that has always been attractive and fun. At my age, I admit while I was surprised, I enjoyed it. In fact, I left his office with a smile on my face and feeling like a teenager, though I was saddened by the fact I'll probably not see him again. From the men out there, and women too, do you think it was anything other than just what it seemed to be at the time... a friend saying a sweet final goodbye to another long time friend? Honestly, the more I think about it, the more I wonder. And no, I haven't and I don't intend to tell my husband about it! But I'll certainly never forget it, because I had always wondered what it would be like! *S*
