so, this is weird. My best guy friend is best friends with one of my exes, so our friendship started when I was dating that guy, and has continued until now (me and said ex have been broken up over a year and a half). My friend and I have bonded super well, he went through a painful breakup over the summer and we both relate to each other’s pain. Over the last few months, I’ve been speculating whether or not he’s had feelings for me and vice versa but I’m unsure. A few months ago, I made a joke about wanting a boyfriend who played the guitar, and he’d replied “oh, so not me then,” and we went on with our day.
Then recently he’d stayed at my place, and before going to bed he gave me a hug and wished me “sweet dreams”. I thought this was odd because usually guys only say that to girls when they like them (in my experience)
and he drove across the state for less than one day just to show up to my birthday dinner 2 weekends ago.
ever since then, he’s been a little distant. When I ask him what’s bothering him he says mostly school, and leaves if ar that. Hardly replies to my texts. I’m confused. Is he pulling away because he likes me?

he's very naturally a sweet person to everyone I just noticed these couple things were over the top

Ok so I've been talking to this guy, I thought as friends but he thought otherwise. We have been taking for about 4-5months and about a month ago he asked me out. I was put on the spot and about pissed my self so I said yes. Keep in mind, we live about 1hour and 30min away from each other. he's nice and takes things slow for me. I've got a rough past, he doesn't know the story but I'm throwing hints at him when I get uncomfortable. I dont have any confidence in myself at all, so how can I keep a stable relationship with someone? Dont get me wrong the boy is nice but he doesn't complement me, doesn't show much care, I told him my dad got hurt so I couldn't hang out that day and he got upset, when we do hang out he only wants to play video games, ONLY video games. Like I wouldn't mind going to the park and hanging out, or watch a movie at the house. He makes me go down to him, he has never came down to my house. I admit I'm not pretty, I'm bigger and thicker, your girls got some junk in the trunk, so i can't be picky when it comes to guys. My last boyfriend cheated on me and I apologize, yep, I apologize for not being good enough. I'm so fucked up😂 The boy makes fat jokes, tells my sister she has cake face, and has no gentleman manners. We walked to walmart to get drinks and he walked way in front of me, on the right side of me, didn't open any doors, and didn't walk me out of his house when it was time to leave. Oh yeah we have only been on one date... he is joining the navy so I love that and he is in the recruiters at the moment and I totally respect that. But he dead ass asked are you going to date me in 6 mouths... my first thought was I dont even know what's for dinner. Anyways I was going to talk to him about just being friends but I dont want to hurt him, that's the very least thing I wanna do.
