If abortion became illegal all over the US?

I think its becoming a real issue, (even at the result if rape) government won't let you get an abortion. Even having a NATURAL miscarriage can end with you in jail, calling it man slaughter.

To make things worse.. I guess now rapist have more of a claim to your body than you, yourself. Cuz now they can sue you for getting an abortion, And even custody?

Hi all, I'm in a unique situation, and was hoping to get everyone's $0.02-

Background: I'm an OBGYN. I recently learned that a casual acquaintance, who's also a physician, has been suffering from recurrent early miscarriages (despite genetically normal embryos) after multiple rounds of IUI and IVF. She is now considering using a gestational surrogate.

I myself am super blessed to have easy pregnancies and fast, uncomplicated deliveries (one in the ER triage area, and the other in the backseat, lol.) Looking at that, alongside the fact that recurrent miscarriage is one of the bane's of every OB's existence, I REALLY want to help.

I'm not at all averse to reaching out to others in ways that are "biologically salient." In college, I even looked into donating a kidney to guy at my school who needed one, but ended up being a poor match. I say this not to canonize myself at all, but just to point out that I'm not risk averse, and I really don't think that this is just my emotions doing the talking. The problem is, I don't actually know her all that well- I'm more a friend of her husband, as we work together sometimes.

For those on the the other side of things- would it be totally awkward and out of line if someone you didn't know well- or someone you only knew professionally- offered to act as your GS? Of course I would make it abundantly clear that there would be no hard feelings if she wasn't comfortable, but I still worry that she might feel pressure. Thoughts?
