I'm almost 25 and I'm going to college and living with people who are much younger than me. I did four years in the military after high school and did a couple other things after. Now I'm in college as a second year student and I'm actually becoming lonely as hell because I feel like I'm too old to date these younger girls. I can get sex from dating apps but I can't really find a girl to spend time with and actually connect with. A lot of them are just plain annoying to me and that's not me just being picky. I really do and try and give everyone a chance.

I just feel like I'm so out of place here and I also feel like I automatically stand out as the older guy. It's frustrating because I feel like I would have more luck if I was associating myself with people my age so that I can relate better. I can't really do that in college because all the people my age are already done.

It's been eating at my self-confidence lately and I'm generally a really confident person so that says a lot coming from me.

It was approximately 2 years ago.

I was 21 at the time and in college. There was this girl whom I had met 8 months prior to that and we lost our virginities to each other.

At the time, I thought she was the only girl for me. I thought I was "in love". I was 20 and she was 16 when we lost our virginities to each other.

Well anyways, there was an argument and I made a terrible mistake out of retailiation and told her sister I "popped her cherry". The girl told me she never wanted to speak to me again over text message.

Overtime, I felt my heart was broken and kept messaging her in hopes that one day she would see how much I missed her.

Well, fast forwarding, I was 21 and in college. I was seeing all these couples on campus and I felt lonely. I made a decision to drive to her home state and ask her to her prom. She was 17 at that time. I brought her a cake, which read something like "will you go to prom with me". I wanted to sincerely apologize for betraying her

When I went to her house to give it to her, her dad called the cops and had me arrested.

Looking back on it now, I realized I wasn't in love. In reality, I was a lonely guy that never had a girlfriend (and still never had one) and when we lost our virginities, I barely knew her. I think it would of been special if we had a relationship first before we had sex.

But I have Aspergers and it is hard to understand social skills and the meaning of things.
