When I'm by myself i feel confident I my own skin. Sometimes (not every time) i go out with my roommate I noticed just how much better she gets treated. Im not dumb- she has an exotic universally pretty look. She gets Free drinks, random discounts, strangers (often men) starting conversations offering to help on literally anything, doors always held open, people inviting her to random parties or social groups. I've mentioned it to her, but she's denied that she gets treated better because she's pretty as she believes the world is just nice. One time she says that she "works for it" despite rarely going to the gym and watching hours of TV everyday. She has money to buy new clothes/makeup and does not have to work while in school.

Its not her fault and I know I'm jealous, but its really frustrating when you're living life as a single person hoping someone wants to get to know your personality. In reality you're only noticed as the less attractive friend. any guy either of us meets would rather ask her out than me since he assumes we are both single and she's prettier. For some reason, she'll hang out with guys she just met and then complains when he started making a move or telling her he is interested in dating. What makes me jealous is that she is married (although long distance) but conveniently gives no indication to anyone.

When I invite her to hang out with my guy friends, they fall into the similar trap where they become super attentive to her needs for literally no reason. I have a normal to bubbly confident personality myself but it gets frustrating when even the people I date refer to her as the pretty friend or attractive roommate.
I know my life isn't hard because of this- there's so much worse out there. I am like a 5 myself so solid average- I just wanted to get it off my chest and maybe see if anyone else can relate. Thanks!

Does it mean that you want to get to know her better?
Or are you just physically attracted and don't want to take it any further?

For example:
a guy never used to take much notice of the girl at work (when they never spoke before & were complete strangers).
But, now they've both spoken to eachother a few times and became 'friends' on facebook, this guy now constantly checks her out and stares at her, but instantly looks away when she catches him staring. This guy stares constantly at her face, when having group conversations at work (when he could have easily stared at other people instead, but he chooses to just stare at her). He also sometimes smiles and laughs at her jokes.

~ Is it just physical attraction?
~ Or does he like her, but is too shy to talk to her directly?
~ or has he just started developing feelings?

So here’s the deal. My roommate and I live in a 3 bedroom basement suite. The third roommate was forced to move out last night due to her being psychotic and threatening us all the time. I will be moving to her room soon. My room has a door that connects to the front door and that leads up to upstairs where my landlord lives and also a door to access the basement suite. We access from the back alley through the garage. Our landlord said he wants to make my current room an Airbnb since we have trust issues now with third roommates which is fine with us. Well the problem is our landlord wants the Airbnb guest to use our kitchen and bathroom, instead of his upstairs.

I don’t think it’s fair to us as his tenants to have strangers use our space. I’m worried about them stealing from our rooms while we are at work. We probably need to have a conversation with him about adding locks to our bedroom doors so our valuables are safe or convincing him as an Airbnb host to have his guests use his space upstairs.

I don’t get why he thinks that’s a good idea. What do you all think?

Bit of a weird question, was talking to this guy on tinder getting having a fun conversation and we arranged a date for this week. He asked what I did for work so I explained. But then he replied asking me a load of questions and it came across that he thought I was lying about my job and was trying to catch me out.

He asked for the name of my workplace, how I was able to work from a computer and do this type of work with this little emoji 🤔 and why am I looking for a new job if this is already in the field I studied in.

I was really taken back by it , explained a few of the things he asked and said I felt like he is giving me the third degree. Never told him where I work because it’s a small company and don’t think I want to be telling a stranger this information. He replied trying to get the conversation back to normal but I don’t know if I’m overreacting or he was being odd?
