I broke up with him and never went back to my hometown after. But I always thought of him and missed him. We started dating new people, but we always found an excuse to message each other. I know he still loves me, and I know I still love him.

The only issue is that I am in a relationship and so is he. My current boyfriend and I, we're long distance and I don't see us getting back together again. I asked him where are we going, like what are we right now? He says right now we're "coasting" "why ask questions" but I can't coast for a year while we're apart, and I just don't see him as the father of my children.

I will not ask my ex to break up with his new girlfriend for me. But would it be stupid to break up with my boyfriend and make it known on social media that I'm single and back in town? (we are friends on a few social media sites) This is the only way I know how to get him back.

I know I want him, I want us to try again. To try it older and hopefully wiser. We had this beautiful connection, everyone around us knew it was the real deal. We both still love each other so much, and we were so close to marriage and living together. I don't want a mistake to take him out of my life forever. In a way, I think he's my soul mate. Someone I could love forever and build a life with.
