Search Results: have cake and eat it too

First of all to clarify, when I mean weight gain, I mean fat gain. some people confuse "weight" with "muscle"

Anyway every time I see a food label I've been paying attention to 4 things:

Calories

Sodium

Grams of fat

grams of saturated fat

I understand that it's been scientifically proven and tested that eating above your calorie intake will cause you to gain weight(again, fat). But how does grams of saturated fat and grams of fat also play into weight gain?

Here's something that horrified me at the supermarket today link

45% of your saturated fat from 2 cakes? Really?

What happens if you were to eat 2 servings(Lets round that 45% to 50%)? You'd consume 620 calories and a whole days worth of saturated fat. Would you gain weight? Or would you technically lose weight if that's all you ate were those 620 calories and 100% of your sat fat

Lets flip the question a bit too, lets say you eat 4 servings, 1240 calories and 100% of your fat intake. would you gain weight over that 1240 calories and 100% of your fat intake? or no?
