I work with this man who I expressed interest in (by staring sometimes and saying hello a lot) when I first started. But he didn’t really seem that into it so I backed off... that was a year ago.

The thing is, he looks at me so much now. When he walks past my desk he very pointedly looks over at me, like he’s checking if I’m there. He has also started coming up and saying hi to me. Basically he’s acting the same way I did a year ago.

Last week, I saw he was struggling with the printer so I offered to help. He stood behind me, so close that I could feel his chest on my back. Then we were walking out of work together and on the stairs he walked right behind me and rushed to open the door.

Is he expressing interest?

1.) He missed a meeting at school, and left. But after I teased him about it and we were joking around over text, he actually came back to hang out with me during the meeting!!! I was so shocked! I couldn't believe he came back!

2.) He constantly stared at me in the eyes when we were talking. We were having a deep conversation about his college aspirations and his opinions on different events and whatever. It kinda surprises me how much he just looked me in the eyes and not even bothered on looking at anyone or anything else.

3.) The entire time he talked to me, he was fidgeting. Like, he'd push himself lightly off the desk repreatedly or swing his arms back and forth. It was kind of distracting, but nevertheless he stared at me the entire time we were talking.

4.) When he's with his friends, he is really rowdy and likes to ag on their behavior, but when it's just me and him, he's calm, funny, and nice. Like, we can have deep, meaningful conversation when it's just us.

5.) I told him to fist bump me simultaneously with each hand (bc my other friend who I usually do that with wasn't there at the meeting), and every time I did the hand motions, he stared at my chest. It's not like I had cleavage hanging out or anything, but I was wearing a bit of a tight shirt and I have C-cup boobs that really are accentuated by the shirt... It was a little unnerving.

But, he knows that I like him because I've told him over two months ago. His response to that at he time was that he liked being single because it made things easier, and he still thought I was pretty cool. So, why does he still act like this around me?

Work with this guy, he's really quiet and seems introverted but I know he has a girlfriend (he never told me, I overheard). His girlfriend is really quite successful. She works as a lead graphic designer at a well known company, and she's cute too. Whereas I'm just an admin assistant that probably makes half of what she does. And I'm cute too, but not any more so than she is. I know all this because of social media.

This guy is always staring at me. I don't really think it's because I stare at him first, because I've avoided looking at him and he always is looking at me and I look up and happen to see. He could just be a nice guy, he smiles at me sometimes or raises his eyebrows and smiles. Also he comes up to my desk almost every day (I have candy out so he'll take a piece) and says hi and asks me how I am or talks about something like the weather or how our days are going. One time he was staring at me, i looked up, and he looked right down at my chest and then looked away. But usually when I catch him looking, he looks away to the side really fast like he's kind of shy or something. I think he's not much of a social person, I never really see him talking to a lot of people.

When we've talked, he seems really into the conversation and we'll talk about the weekend or something, and then he'll ask me follow up questions, such as if I like the genre of movie I saw, where I live etc.

Several months ago, he told me he went on a trip with his family, and told me a story of his sister on that trip. But on Instagram I saw that he was with his girlfriend... I don't get why he wouldn't just say that. I just want him to say to my face that he has a girlfriend.

I would normally think he wants to be my friend, but the staring is weird..

What do you think? Is he some kind of introverted player or is he interested? Or does he want to be friends?

Let's say your at school and you see this 5'2 16 year old black boy with dreadlocks and he smells like cupcakes. He looks at you, your chest, turns away and smiles with delight. Sometimes while you guys are In class or your in the hallway he looks at you, your chest and once again keeps walking and has a little smile on his face. You overhear people tell you that this boy says your so beautiful and he wonders if you're single. He also bites his bottom lip a little after staring at you for 5 seconds. He always wanted to be a chief and he sells cookies around scrhool for 50 cents. He offers you one. Would this make you feel anything negative?
