So I recently met a guy through a dating site and we have been talking for a while. When we talk he shows that he is interested then sometimes he doesn't even bother to reply back to my texts. He talks about taking our relationship to the next level then again he is still active on the site. When he calls me he literally spends like 5-6 hrs talking to me. Then he dissapears for a day or two and doesn't even bother to text or say hi. It feels as if I am coming off needy and bothering him. I dont understand him at all. Right when I think about moving on he comes back and plans hangouts and stuff. I am very confused can somebody help please. When I ask him why isn't he texting he says he was busy. I see him come on whatsapp but never bothers to reply back. Does this seem like he is interested? or I am wasting my time?

Well, how much would you pay for a weekend together with your long-distance relationship partner if you could?

Now, to take this on a personal level... my boyfriend is 18x in the military. I am out of the country, and planned to miss his upcoming graduation from basic training. However, I just looked at my schedule and realized that I will have to miss airborne grad as well, and then since I'm not going to move across the country for the next phase of his training... I won't see him until he graduates Q course March or April next year. (Maybe Christmas this year, if I'm lucky.)

Right now I'm looking at a $800 round trip ticket to see him. Two 15 hour flights and about 8 hours total of car rides just for a weekend.

I really, really want to, but don't know if that's just too crazy and bold. Also that's taking $800 out of my scholarships that I planned to use to travel while I'm abroad.

I'm 21 and we've been together for a year, if that's relevant.

Advice?
