Search Results: two guys fighting over you

So, my friend of two years has just turned 18. We've been friends for 2 years and we've done/ been through a lot. We smoked pot together, drank, had wild scenarios with guys, she took me to get wasted when I visited her at her college etc. typical teenager stuff. Well, her parents are ultra conservative and her dad is overprotective of her, and I've known that, even though they have no idea what she does. I've always been very respectful and nice to her family and they've always been nice and friendly to me. as part of her birthday, she asked me to go with her to this adult store as like a "rite of passage" that 18 year olds in our city do. So, I said I would, since I did it too when I turned 18 ( I'm now 19) and went with my other best friend when she turned 18.

Where it went wrong on my part is I posted on Facebook one of those location things as a joke that we were there, thinking no big deal and her dad (who I friended earlier that day) saw and flipped out. He told her to tell me to unfriend him, and he sent me this nasty message saying that I ruined their family break and that I shouldn't be bringing their daughter around that stuff and that I did the post maliciously. I told him that with all do respect that it really was just a joke and I've been nothing but good to her and her family. And in no way was I trying to because hurt or harm. And he basically said that although she can make her own decisions, I need to back out of her life, and we are no longer friends. I'm obviously offended because, this idea wasn't mine it was my friend's, her father was incredibly rude and out of line, and I feel like there isn't a need to respond again if he's going to get emotional and act a fool. But I know she doesn't have much of a backbone, and I know she blamed this on me. I posted the post, and I took it down when she flipped out about it, and that's what I admit to.

I'm stuck as to what to do. I honestly didn't think in posting it, and I took it down after I realized the mistake, and I wrote back explaining that, with hope this could blow over in the future because I'm not like that. Other friends have posted Nastier things on her wall that she's deleted, and her brothers psycho ex girlfriend has been more of a nuisance to them than I've EVER have. Should I cancel our plans tomorrow and just honor the dad's irrational wishes or keep fighting it? I'm really upset.
