Search Results: why you should ask out a shy guy

There's a guy I know and I get really confused of him because he says that I'm a really nice girl and he likes talking to me and that he wants to meet me to chill and cuddle etc but with no feelings involved since he does not want to get hurt and I am a person he may start to like really much but he does not want to cause he's scared to get hurt. I respect and accept that ofc and said that we can just meet up as friends and chill cause I would just like to chill as friend as well and see where it goes from there. He several times said that he is shy and does not ask people to meet and does not talk much with new people so I would need to do that, but I'm also kinda shy so I don't really dare either.

Up till here it's just to ask him if we should meet up I know but the thing I'm getting confused about is that he does not always text that much, like when I start a conversation he sometimes answers really much and keeps the convo going but sometimes he just drops the convo almost directly. Sometimes he starts a convo but then sometimes he does no do that for several days. I know that he texts really much (with friends or other girls idk) so that's why I get kinda insecure (?) if he wants to talk to me or not. I don't get what he wants, does he want to meet me and is kinda interested or is he not interested and just being "nice"? And what would you do in this case?

I went to have coffee with my mother today in this really nice cafe. Anyway the waiter was being flirty so much that my mam noticed it at the end he came over with a paper bagged with wrapped up cakes in it. He said that for being his best customers he would like to give us some treats.

I thought it it was so sweet but I got a bit shy and I because I was with my mam I didn't really know how to talk to him. I'd like to have a conversation maybe ask this guy out? You think it's a good idea and what why should I go about it?
