This guy and I had a very tumultuous relationship/friendship. Always liked each other at opposite times, but always flirted, enjoyed each other's company. Looking back, I wonder if his Dad knew that he and I had feelings for each other.

I bought him a Christmas present one year and he refused to open it when his Dad was around. His Dad finally told him to get it together... I gave him a Christmas ornament, it really wasn't a big deal. His dad puts it on the tree in the front every year now.

His Dad usually left so the two of us could be alone. He's always really happy to see me.

Once, when this guy friend of mine was sick... I came over the next day and brought him gatorade. He had told me that he was alone the entire day, hadn't eaten, hadn't had anything to drink. I get there and his dad is making him food and has things for him to drink. His dad said that when I showed up (with my friend) that it was first time he'd gotten out of bed all day.

I sort of get the vibe that either his parents knew what was going on or that his Dad really liked/encouraged it. We were best friends for a while... we aren't very close anymore, but when we do talk to each other we can't seem to avoid talking about really intimate subjects. It's like some things just never change when we talk.
