Becoming emotionally invested in another person means you’ve likely checked out of your marriage. But if it’s just sex, it’s less about attachment and more about a hurtful mistake. What do you think about this statement? Is it possible a woman sexting, or emotionally having some form relationship with a man, even if sex is not involved?

I felt compelled to ask this.

Its a known fact that in this era kids as young as12 or 13 are losing their virginity, increase in teen pregnancies, people changing their partners as easily/often as changing clothes, getting divorced left and right, cheating on their spouse/partner etc. The situation wasn't really so bad, around 2 decades ago.

The way I see it, its all about SEX now (I'm saying this in general, and not to any specific gender). It appears like people take pride in the number of sex partners they have had in their life, and don't really care about establishing an emotional bond with one person. I know I may probably be blasted over here for saying this.

Its so rare now to find someone in their 40s or 50s who have been married to only one person, having a happy life with a couple of kids, and not having cheated any time.

So are humans actually losing touch with their human sides, and not bothering much about human emotions or emotional bonding? In other words, is sex the main thing that people want today (as much of it as they can have), and don't want to be 'bogged down' by emotional attachment?

P. S. I know some of you are going to say things like 'independence', 'choice', 'freedom' etc. but i don't see how those can't be achieved while still bonding emotionally.
