Basically, a friend of mine (let’s call her lyla) who told me all about her turbulent childhood the other day. She said that she can’t remember much from her childhood and has felt like empty/a piece of her has been missing for as long as she could remember. She said that she tends to feel really depressed at times, and that she went through a phase of taking drugs as well.

Lately, she’s been attending therapy and told me that her therapist thinks she may have been sexually abused when she was younger and that she’s blocked the memories out. She said she felt like a weight had been lifted from her, and believes this is the answer to what’s been wrong all those years.

I’m not sure, I really hope her therapist is wrong. Is it really possible that you wouldn’t remember being abused as a child?

I've never been in a relationship due to my fear of being hurt. Every relationship I've seen around has never succeeded, someone has always been either cheated on or abused (emotionally/physically/sexually) and I am afraid that it is inevitable for the same thing to happen to me.
My problem is that I met a guy and I am beginning to catch feelings for him which scares me, he likes me too which scares me even more. I want to be able to get past this and not doubt him so much. Does anybody have any advice? Have you ever experienced this fear?

Dustin is 21 years old. He was abused physically, sexually, and vebally ever since he was 6 years old. He was ra! ped at a young age and almost died. At 7 he'd stab his classmates with whatever he could find, screamed, kicked, cut himself and would punch walls so hard he'd break his hands. Dustin tried to shot his school bully, he stole a car from a mother and put a gun to her 6 year olds son's head, stole millions of dollars though hacking and Internet fraud, Dustin doesn't like looking at himself in the mirror because he sees a lost, broken person in his reflection.
