i've liked this guy for a while, but he never makes any effort to hang out with me. him and I get along great whenever we're in class. he always sits next to me, smiles when he sees me, hold doors, makes me laugh, and is comfortable around me. he also thinks I'm funny and lets me tease him back without being mad or anything. he singled me out when we were talking in a group, eye contact ALL the time (I have to look away because I'm so damn shy, haha) whatnot.

however, if I ask him to play pool or something, he always has some issue (schedule, work, doctor's appointment), and the last time I asked him to pool, he said he couldn't, but was down for it 'in the future tho'. <- that was through a text message.

it's been like a month and he still hasn't said anything about hanging out with me. I don't get it. we're at least something close to friends. could somebody explain to me!
