Search Results: being friends with your crush

So 1 year ago in school, there was this girl I had a crush on literally all year... she was cute, outgoing, fun, silly but knew how to take things seriously, hardworking, sort of smart, etc. But I never had the courage to ask her out.

But this year in school, there's been a girl almost exactly like her in 2 of my courses... and she's almost exactly like my crush from the year before. Both in appearance, and personality.

Both are slightly tanned girls, with brown hair... but my crush was tan from tanning, she was actually White. But my current girlfriend is half Latina and half White... so she's tan naturally. My crush had lighter brown hair... my gf's hair is deep brown. Both have long hair, but my crush had back length hair, while my gf's goes all the way to her butt crack. They both absolutely love swimming and going to the beach or pool, and have a lot of photos on their social media of them in bikinis with their friends at the beach and such.

Personality wise, both are cheerful and optimistic, and always positive.

But my current girlfriend constantly goes up to everyone, and wants to get to know them better... especially if they seem lonely. And that's how she met me! I would've never talked to a girl like her, otherwise.

One day, after a week or two of just being friends, she told me, "You know, I really like you! Though you don't talk much or have many friends, you're still really nice and polite, and I admire how you always do your work and don't let anyone distract you! How about a date with me, if you're up to it? It's alright if you don't know anywhere fun... because I do, and we'll have lots of fun together!"

And so we went on a date when we had the time... and boy, I've never had more fun with anyone in my life! We've been together for only 5 months by now... but I love her more than my own parents.

But regardless, I can't help but wonder about how similar she is to my previous crush... the only difference is that she tries to get to know literally everyone.
