I hear multiple people say that being single is a choice. However, I hear others state that they just can’t find someone their compatible with. And I must say, I get envious when I see those beautiful couples and even older couples that have been together for decades. How do they make it work? I’ve only ever been in a relationship that lasted a few months and I’m 23. I feel like I’m destined to be single. And I don’t think I’m terrible looking. I’ve been complimented for my looks from both genders. Not solely including compliments from family members and female friends. Why can’t I find a good guy? 😭

i reconnected w this guy i used to talk to & went on two dates with. its been 6 months since i’ve seen him. we went to the beach the other day i acted a little distant/not interested but he remembered everything about me acted like he really likes me been texting me since &tonight asked if i had a boyfriend & then asked what i was looking for. he said “i feel like your looking for a boyfriend go have some fun and settle down later thats what i’m feeling right now” (did he mean he thinks im feeling that way or he is just trying to have fun) then i say I don't know i’m not but i’m not sure he replied what were u looking for from me last time i can never make up my mind & i said i can’t make up my mind either i can't even explain its just a lot of pressure he replied sheesh i was just asking what you were looking for so i explained i don’t hookup with people i want a boyfriend but not a serious boyfriend he replied “lol you lost” & then said i’m not trying to date a girl but i don’t hookup w strangers so then i said well i’m not being friends w benefits if thats what your initiating he replied friends with benefits aren’t a real thing that works but i get what u mean we can be friends so i replied okay & he was like is that cool with you or what were you thinking i said what is friends not good enough? u wanna be besties or something i don’t get it why do you care what do you want & he said i was just seeing what you want some girls wanna date others or just fuck i wanted to see what was up not trying to be rude i said well to be straightforward i want a boyfriend you can’t change my mind about that he said i know u want a boyfriend then i said so don’t try to hookup with me & he was like how would i try to hookup with you it either happens or it doesn’t. is he beating around the bush he wants a relationship w me or is he just dtf? he said he doesn’t do hookups but isn’t a hookup just having sex one night? does he think by casual boyfriend i meant dating multiple guys?
