Ok so Monday I asked a guy to come to a Christian youth group thing. I know he really isn't into it at all. He's quite to opposite of religious. So I explained that it's mostly just a place to hang out. He said maybe. Which I guessed would most likely be a no.

The day came and I was going to ask him what his plan was, but he didn't show up to school. That hurt me more than anything. If he would have showed up. Told the truth and said: I don't wanna go. I would have been OK with it.

I was super down and then he texted me after school. Asking if that thing was today (wednesday) of course he knew it was today... That's the whole reason he didn't come to school. He told me he was sick, and I told him: it's totally understandable. Make it up to me later ok? He said ha ha sure.

He was at school today and didn't sit in his normal seat ( in my row) he sat 2 rows back next to his guy friend. He didn't talk to me once, and didn't look sick either. So he was lying. I thought it showed that he cared by texting me to tell me he was"sick" even if he wasn't.

Question: if he doesn't care or like me at all then why would he even bother to text me an explanation for not going? Could he even have interest?

I was wiu our mutual group of friends in class. I could see him look at me a couple of times out of the corner of my eye. But they were brief glances. Could that mean anything? I was just bein myself. Socializing with our friends (while he was with his 1 friend in the back)

When the bell rang he left hella fast. I didn't even see him leave. But when I got out of the classroom he was pretty far ahead of me. I could tell he was avoiding me. He didn't want me to talk to him. (believe me I wasn't going to anyway)

Are my readings in his body language correct?

To me I believe he is rejecting me. Saying he doesn't like me or have any interest in me with his actions. So I've decided to drop him.

But then why the hell would he text me to ask if the thing was that day and tell me he is sick if he doesn't have interest in me? I can't tell how this boy feels about me. Please help. What is this boy feeling toward me?

Also he knows I like him. He also told his friend(girl) that he is eh about having a girlfriend right now because he doesn't want drama. I'm a real quiet person when I don't really know a person/ not comfortable. I don't have drama. But he probably doesn't know/ think that.
